We were driving along when all of sudden we screeched to a halt. Next thing I know I’m laying down flat in the dirt, face to face with a venomous snake.
This Asian Vine Snake took offence at my attempts to encourage it off the road, coiling itself into this mesmerising defensive pose. I couldn’t resist dropping down onto my stomach and taking a photo before moving the snake – and myself – to the safety of the roadside.
